Head chef, Bistro Vue

"Food has been present in my life from an early age. Coming from a Mediterranean upbringing, in my eyes food is family, fun and most importantly about sharing experiences with people from different cultures."

Chris is passionate about French and Italian style cooking, inspired and influenced by his Nanna and Dad’s cooking he started his career as a chef at the age of 16 when he applied to cooking school in Malta while working as a commis chef at a nearby hotel.

Once Chris became a qualified chef he moved to Edinburgh where he worked at the Hilton; during his time here he travelled around the UK and Europe staging in various Michelin Starred restaurants before returning to Malta as the Executive Head Chef of a hotel overseeing its 3 restaurants.

Chris made the move to Australia in 2006 and worked at the Palazzo Versace 2 Hat restaurant on the Gold Coast for 3 years before landing the role as Head Chef of Bistro Vue in Melbourne.
