Granny's Chocolate Sauce

Method

Heat butter and sugar together in a small pot. Continue cooking over medium heat for about 3 to 5 mins until sugar and butter bubble together and turn to the colour of hay. Stir in cocoa, then remove from heat to add water. Place back on heat and stir sauce until it all combines to smooth chocolate consistency. You may require a little more water to make the sauce smooth. Serve hot over ice cream.
Ingredients
  • 150gms butter
  • 200gms raw sugar
  • 2 heaped tablespoons cocoa
  • Cold water to combine, about 1/3 cup
