New ways for small business to recognise cultural diversity

Australia’s biggest celebration of cultural diversity in the workplace is set to return from 14 – 25 March 2022 with more ways than ever for small businesses to take part!

When people feel included at work, employee innovation and productivity increases, while absenteeism falls. Yet one in five people experience discrimination in workplaces of all sizes due to the colour of their skin.

After what has been a very challenging year, it has never been more important to recognise the value of cultural diversity in every Australian workplace and create meaningful opportunities for team members to stay connected.

We are excited to announce the many ways small businesses can get involved in A Taste of Harmony 2022:

  • Host a (COVID-safe) physical or virtual lunch or morning tea event with your work team, clients or suppliers. If you are doing it remotely, use our custom Zoom backgrounds.
  • Support restaurants and cafes local to your workplace by ordering food and trying different cuisines. Along the way, you’ll be supporting other small businesses, some of which were hit hard by the pandemic.
  • If you are a sole trader, or very small team, you can join our virtual online event which will include a cook-a-long with a couple of famous faces.
  • Utilise our discussion guides to support your business in cultural diversity best practice.

Register now And we’ll keep you up to date with campaign news and all the details for our online events in the lead-up to March.

If you have any questions about your involvement in 2022, send us an email at contact@tasteofharmony.org.au.
