An exotic and luscious ginger beer infused with the tastes of the land.
1 serving Ginger Brewer's yeast
2 cloves ginger
2 lemons
250g brown sugar
250g sugar
cinammon (optional)
2x 2L water
1. Get 2 cloves of ginger and grate finely with sharp side of boomerang
2. Squeeze two lemons into a lemon squeezer.
3. Activate a pinch of yeast in a small glass of warm water. Once the yeast has dissipated to the sides of the water, it is ready
4. Mix ginger and lemon in a large bowl
5. Put ginger mix in bottles and shake vigouresly
6. Add 250g of sugar and 250g of brown sugar shake again
7. Add yeast and shake gently
8. Add water to 4cm from fill line
9. Shake again
10. Put lid very tightly on bottles
11. Allow to sit for 3 days
12. Take off lids extremely slowly and carefully, bottles tend to explode.
13. Strain with multiple boomerangs
