I learnt how to make traditional financiers in Paris in 2008 and bought the moulds for them straight after the class. Here’s my version of a somewhat less traditional chocolate financier. They’re great to whip up for a sweet treat in the afternoon and are a sure crowd pleaser. If you have kids of any age, they will be happy for hours.

My favourite food from Korea. Kimchi is so popular in Korea there are kimchi museums and entire kimchi fridges. In the past, we would make enough kimchi in summer to last our very cold winters and it would be buried underground in pots. Now, leading tech companies, such as Samsung and LG have created the kimchi fridge.
Anyway, kimchi is really healthy and tasty side dish and the Koreans believe it is their intake of kimchi that saved them from the SARS virus outbreak years ago as there is a fair dose of garlic included.

This is one of the most popular desserts in Cambodia. The locals enjoy this refreshing dessert after their lunch or in the evening. This dessert is commonly found at street stalls around Phnom Penh. Cambodians also consume the green mung bean dessert as a way to beat the heat.
